School Support Mentor Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Support Mentor to join our team at a special needs school catering to children with autism and social emotional and mental health needs.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with special needs, as well as those who are passionate about learning and growing in this field. The school offers a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with autism and social emotional and mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their academic goals

Requirements:

  • A level of understanding about childcare and special educational needs
  • Some experience working with children
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (can be provided by Prospero Teaching)

What We Offer:

  • A competitive rate of £87.90 per hour
  • A full-time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment
