Service Technician / Automotive Electronics Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician / Automotive Electronics Specialist to join our team.

Pay: £28-£30k

Shifts: Nights (Mon-Thurs alternating with Tues - Fri)

Essential Skills:

  1. Experience working with Cars / PSVs (Buses) / HGVs - understanding of how to wire vehicles' electrical systems.
  2. IT Systems Knowledge - Bus systems and auxiliary equipment all run from a 'mini-network' with an IP address on a Router. Candidates will need to be confident in using laptop programs to set up certain devices e.g. cameras onto a bus network.

The Job: As a Service Technician / Automotive Electronics Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up electronics such as cameras and telematics and connecting them to the local network on the bus.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install and configure electronic systems on buses.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on vehicles.
  3. Work with IT systems to ensure seamless integration of electronic devices.

Requirements:

  1. Strong understanding of electrical systems and electronics.
  2. Experience working with IT systems and networks.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
