Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at KION Group. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering a multi-skilled service across a wide range of operationally critical equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation in line with customer business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate as the shift technical issue manager, working closely with the Site Shift Manager and shift team to resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the shift team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Specialist manager to develop and implement technical solutions to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Promote KION Group values and behaviors, ensuring a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Support the customer's business needs, ensuring that all technical activities are aligned with their requirements.

Requirements:

  • Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • ONC qualified engineering qualification or equivalent (electrical bias) minimum
  • Experience with electrical controls systems, including inverter drives, barcode scanning equipment, and Profibus/Profinet/ASi-bus/ASi-Safe/Ethernet
  • PLC knowledge, preferably with Siemens
  • PC, database, and communication network skills
  • Warehouse Control System/Warehouse Management System knowledge (preferred)
  • Multi-skilled with good electrical and mechanical experience
  • IOSH/NEBOSH trained (preferred)
  • Experience with continuous improvement techniques/methodologies
