About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Sturt House, a recovery-focused rehabilitation unit providing specialist mental health treatment for men aged 18 and over.

As an Occupational Therapist with Elysium Healthcare, you will play a vital role in promoting health and independence by delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions. You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to provide clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote health and independence.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff, including support staff and assistants.
  • Student Placements: Ensure the delivery of occupational therapy student placements and support the development of junior staff.
  • Policies and Protocols: Develop and implement appropriate policies, protocols, and care pathways to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Occupational Therapy profession qualification.
  • Experience: Extensive and relevant post-qualification clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs.
  • Skills: Highly effective clinical reasoning skills, highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models, and knowledge of how to work with neurodiverse individuals.
