Role Overview

What Will You Be Responsible For?

We are looking for a skilled individual to join our Audit team in Beaconsfield. In this position, you will gain valuable experience and training across a range of accounting disciplines, including audit, enabling you to develop your skills in a professional setting and work towards qualification as either ACCA or ACA.

This position requires full-time presence in the office.

As an Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Timely and effective completion of assigned tasks, adhering to firm operating procedures and processes, including full audits as well as occasional accounts, tax, and other projects.
  • Allocating adequate time for professional studies to meet all academic goals set by tutors or the Line Manager, aiming for optimal exam results.
  • Participating in technical courses and engaging in technical reading to maintain competence and awareness of internal procedures and communications.
  • Establishing budgets with the manager at the start of each job, regularly monitoring progress against these budgets, and providing feedback to supervisors.
  • Maintaining regular communication with managers, Principals, and colleagues to update them on the status of assigned work.
  • Promoting teamwork and a collaborative spirit within the team.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Currently pursuing an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA).
  • Proven audit experience within a professional services environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, directors, staff, and other professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising others and delegating tasks.
  • Ability to organize oneself and others to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Capability to monitor costs against client budgets.

  • Strong IT proficiency.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge with an understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks appropriate to your level of experience/qualification.
  • Analytical and logical thinking skills, particularly the ability to grasp high-level concepts and apply them to various contexts.
  • Semi-senior candidates should have between 1- and relevant practice-based experience.
