Job Title: CNC Turner

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our team at Reed. As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality dies and machine parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Programming, setting, and operating Doosan 2100 & 2600 twin spindle lathes.
  • Manufacturing precision tooling for compression and injection moulding to high tolerances.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement activities within the tool room.
  • Managing the supply of consumables and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and working independently to solve engineering problems.
  • Adapting to shifting priorities and maintaining flexibility to meet production timelines.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner or similar role within a tool room environment.
  • Proficiency in programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes, specifically Doosan 2100 & 2600.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing tooling for compression and injection moulding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work to high tolerances.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and the ability to work under one's own initiative.

  • 37-hour working week (Mon-Fri).
  • 2 x shift rotation (Early & Lates).

  • Late Shift: 14:25-22:55 (Mon-Thurs), 10:55-15:55 (Fri).
