About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Grinder to join our team at Reed Engineering. As a CNC Grinder, you will play a crucial role in supporting our production process by operating various grinding machines to manufacture high-quality tooling for compression and injection moulding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting, and operating cylindrical and surface grinding machines to achieve high tolerances.
  • Conducting tool repair and maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Manufacturing tooling for compression and injection moulding, adhering to strict quality standards.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement activities to enhance tool room efficiency and productivity.
  • Managing the supply of consumables and maintaining inventory to minimize downtime.
  • Working independently to interpret engineering drawings and solve engineering problems.
  • Adapting to shifting priorities and maintaining flexibility to meet production timelines.

Requirements:

  • Completed apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with mould tools and assembly.
  • Proficiency in operating cylindrical and surface grinding machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Precision in working to high tolerances.
