Materials Planning Specialist

At TE Connectivity Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Materials Planning Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Materials Planning Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production cycle.
Your primary responsibility will be to plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through our production cycle. This will involve determining the quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiating purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and developing the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis.
You will also be responsible for developing specifications for new contract orders, as well as forecasting and planning for labor requirements. Additionally, you will provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher-level supplier performance reviews with our strategic sourcing team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage workflow and implement flow improvements
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Develop and maintain accurate schedules and forecasts
- Monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts
- Provide input on supplier performance and participate in supplier reviews
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience managing workflow and implementing flow improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer software, including Excel
- Experience working with SAP
