Materials Planning Specialist

At TE Connectivity Corporation, we're seeking a skilled Materials Planning Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Materials Planning Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials through our production cycle.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement plans, schedules, and monitoring systems to manage the movement of materials. This will involve determining quantity and order dates for materials, initiating purchase or production requisitions, and developing schedules based on forecasts and historical analysis.
You will also be responsible for developing specifications for new contract orders, forecasting labor requirements, and monitoring cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to ensure best quality at best value.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement materials planning strategies to meet production or engineering schedules
- Initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements
- Develop schedules based on forecasts and historical analysis
- Develop specifications for new contract orders
- Forecast labor requirements
- Monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to engage and work with key stakeholders
- Experience managing workflow and implementing flow improvements
- Confidence working with computer software, including Excel
- Experience working with SAP
- Positive and proactive approach to work
