Role Overview

Join a Leading Global Manufacturer in a pivotal Finance Business Partnering position. This role is designed for a skilled Management Accountant who will contribute significantly to the financial decision-making processes within a renowned organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Accounting System Development: Oversee and enhance the cost accounting framework, including the formulation of new product cost assessments.
  • Annual Standard Costing: Take ownership of the annual standard cost build process.
  • Management Accounts Preparation: Prepare monthly management accounts and analyze production costs and variances.
  • Internal Reporting Evolution: Innovate internal reporting mechanisms (reports/KPIs) to enhance visibility on cost drivers and track cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support Plant Operations: Collaborate with plant operations teams to identify, implement, and monitor productivity enhancement projects.
  • Capital Investment Appraisal: Manage the capital investment process and conduct appraisals prior to management approval.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
  • Finance Team Support: Provide assistance to the Finance team on various topics and projects as needed.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A background in manufacturing or engineering is essential.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-motivation, creativity, and initiative.
  • The ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
Preferred Education

Candidates should ideally have:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification.
  • A degree in business or finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within complex manufacturing, engineering, or FMCG sectors.
