About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Active Care Group, specializing in neurological rehabilitation. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work with clients with complex rehabilitation needs, providing comprehensive assessment, advice, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment for clients with neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and neurological degenerative conditions.
  • Maintain a small independent caseload, working with clients to develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement service developments, meetings, and audit as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement a neurotechnology offering for clients, engaging with solicitors and case managers to monitor and track client progress and outcomes.
  • Provide supervision, support, and training to junior team members, therapy assistants, and students as required.
  • Maintain accurate client records and collect activity data/statistics in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure practice is evidence-based and in line with national clinical standards, maintaining a professional development portfolio in line with HCPC registration requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with evidence-based practice in occupational therapy through relevant reading, attending in-service training, and external courses.
  • Participate in research and/or audit activity as directed by the Senior Occupational Therapist.
Requirements
  • A recognized qualification as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Current registration with HCPC as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience of working within a neurological care and rehabilitation setting would be an advantage.
