Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Whitby facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, as well as performing fault-finding and electrical installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Perform electrical and mechanical fault-finding and electrical installations
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures and reduce maintenance costs
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards

Requirements

  • Appropriate engineering qualifications, including an apprenticeship in electrical maintenance
  • 18th Edition IEE certificate
  • City & Guilds 2391 and 2392 qualifications
  • At least 12 months of practical engineering experience
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work a regular rotating shift-based work pattern
  • Computer literacy
