Job Title: Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer

Prime Personnel UK Limited is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our dynamic maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond swiftly to breakdowns, diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment, reducing the risk of unplanned outages.
  • Work with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automated systems, diagnosing and resolving faults related to control panels, motors, sensors, and drives.
  • Collaborate with the production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure the smooth operation of production lines and proactive resolution of equipment issues.
  • Time-served apprenticeship in engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment, ideally in the food, FMCG, or packaging industries.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) and an ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and mechanical schematics.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP) and health & safety compliance.
Requirements:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with both mechanical and electrical tools and equipment.
