Selwood Housing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to serve as the Chair of their Asset and Development Committee.

About the Role:

The Chair will provide strategic leadership to the Committee, ensuring effective decision-making and oversight of key areas such as audit, governance, finance, and risk. They will serve as the primary point of contact between the Committee and the Board of Directors, facilitating communication with the CEO, Senior Executives, and External Stakeholders as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance to the Committee to address key risks, opportunities, and performance issues related to asset management and development.
  • Ensure effective communication between the Committee and the Board of Directors.
  • Facilitate collaboration between the Committee and other stakeholders, including Senior Executives and External Stakeholders.
  • Oversee the Committee's deliberations and decision-making processes.

About Selwood Housing:

Selwood Housing is a charity that provides local, affordable homes. They own and manage over 7,000 homes for rent and shared ownership in the southwest and are growing. Their ambition is to build 1,700 more affordable homes by 2034 to help tackle the housing crisis.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Non-Executive Director or Chair within social housing, property development, asset management, charity, or a similar highly regulated area. They will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to provide strategic guidance and oversight to the Committee.
