Job Title: Radio Field Engineer

Tangent International is seeking a skilled Radio Field Engineer to join our team on a 6-month rolling contract based in the United Kingdom.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Field Engineer to work on various projects, providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of radio frequency transmission and receiver systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and cost-effective solutions to clients, adhering to safe working practices at all times.
  • Contribute to the delivery of excellent customer service and value to the business, demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and customer focus.
Technical Requirements
  • Understanding of general telecoms systems, including AC/DC power systems, rectification, and power distribution systems.
  • Experience with radio frequency transmission and receiver systems, including spectrum allocation, air interface, analogue to digital conversion, modulation techniques, and GSM, UMTS, and LTE fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of radio access network and core network architecture, cellular network fundamentals, mobility management, and cell planning.
  • Experience with main vendor equipment, including Huawei BTS, Ericsson Radio System, Nokia Airscale, and microwave radio systems.
Requirements
  • Working at heights and climber experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Please note that this position will be inside IR35.
