Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and outcome-focused Programme Manager to join our team at Apex Talent Solutions. As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for setting up and managing programmes, focusing on strategy and policies, and working with public sector clients on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a strong working relationship with key stakeholders and ensure that all requirements are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Lead the strategic development and assurance of the project.
  • Accountable for a delivery strategy and plan.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in programme management within the public sector.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Experience in setting up and managing programmes, policies, and strategies.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and a good understanding of the use of different channels and formats for different audiences and producing clear advice on complex issues.
  • Strong understanding of public sector governance and assurance.
  • Over 5 year's experience in construction projects.
  • Commercially minded, with sound business acumen and a strong focus on performance, value for money and financial management working across employees, contractors and consultants.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to respond quickly to changing circumstances and to demanding timescales.
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary organisation.
  • Assisting in the development of new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
