Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Speech and Language Assistant to join our team at KPI Recruiting Ltd. As a Graduate Speech and Language Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with educational psychologists and speech and language therapists to develop and implement individualized plans for students with SLCN and EHCPs.
  • Use your educational background and communication skills to encourage engagement and positive progress for students with SLCN and EHCPs.
  • Contribute to a supportive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of empathy and understanding.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Speech and Language or English graduate with a 1st or 2:1 degree.
  • Aspirations of becoming a Speech and Language Therapist or working in an adjacent field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is welcomed but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
