We are looking for a committed Housing Management Officer to join a local authority team. This position is centered on providing exceptional housing services and fostering sustainable tenancies within the community. The initial contract spans 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
As a Housing Management Officer, your duties will include:
- Delivering proactive, customer-oriented housing management services.
- Ensuring the delivery of essential housing management functions to a high standard.
- Updating management information systems with pertinent data.
- Addressing complaints and resolving service delivery challenges.
- Processing allowances, compensation claims, and discretionary awards.
- Investigating and managing abandoned properties and tenancy fraud cases.
- Coordinating regular site inspections and overseeing estate service contracts.
- Encouraging tenant involvement and community development initiatives.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in a comparable housing role.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi-agency partners, local residents, community organizations, and law enforcement.
- Supervisory experience, including training and quality assurance.
- Strong written communication skills for creating content for newsletters and reports.
Contract Details
- Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening meetings.
- Duration: 3 months, with potential for a temporary-to-permanent transition.
