About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our team at Stonegate Group. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting our publicans by ensuring a smooth flow of beer to our pubs while maximizing cash collection and minimizing credit risk to the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage credit problems of both short-term and long-term nature, supporting all publicans while being assertive when necessary.
  • Control bad debts by ensuring the company does not take undue financial risks or non-commercial decisions, addressing potential debts quickly and applying the Company values to recover arrears.
  • Maintain supplies to our pubs within agreed and documented procedures.
  • Regularly review accounts on refer, credit limits, and allocate cash.
  • Engage in regular telephone discussions with publicans and the RM responsible, using the escalation process where applicable.
  • Document agreed actions in writing, including notes on the account.
  • Promote the use of the direct debit method of payment and process other payment methods.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a credit control team.
  • Excellent communication skills, including a clear and concise telephone manner.
  • Ability to show empathy and well-developed listening skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to influence at all levels.
  • A positive approach and drive to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Excellent negotiator.
  • Knowledge of Navision preferred.
