Newcastle upon Tyne, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom Shared Services Connected Ltd Full time

Are you experienced in Customer Support within retail or hospitality and seeking to transition your expertise into a corporate environment? Or perhaps you possess Customer Service skills but wish to move away from a sales-focused and KPI-driven atmosphere? If this resonates with you, we encourage you to explore this opportunity.

Shared Services Connected Ltd is on the lookout for multiple Client Support Specialists to enhance our team, providing assistance to some of our key governmental partners. This role presents a fantastic chance to be the initial point of contact for our clients, addressing incoming inquiries through phone and webchat, delivering exceptional service and resolving issues promptly and efficiently.

Effective communication is essential for this position, with a strong emphasis on both written and verbal skills. We value individuals who may not have extensive experience but understand the essence of outstanding customer service.

This is a permanent hybrid role, with work scheduled from home Monday to Wednesday, and in the office Thursday and Friday (no weekend shifts), full-time with hours ranging from 8 AM to 6 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for inquiries from Government Employees regarding various aspects of HR, Pensions, and Payroll.
  • Provide information from our internal database, addressing questions such as "How do I request Annual Leave?" or "What does this payment represent?" You will also collaborate with specialized HR teams to manage more intricate casework inquiries.
  • Document relevant information and call details to ensure accurate communication and log these interactions into our internal system.
  • Monitor the status of open inquiries and advance these cases to ensure that service level agreements are fulfilled.
  • Escalate issues to Team Leaders as necessary.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Demonstrated experience in customer service.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Articulate and capable of fostering positive working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Proactive and able to exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft IT and computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Contact Centre environment.
  • Background in Customer Service.

If you find this role intriguing but are uncertain if your qualifications align perfectly with our needs, we welcome your application. We are eager to hear from you

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Security Clearance Level: SC
Salary: Competitive
Benefits: Generous annual leave, health cash plan, life assurance, pension scheme, and a flexible benefits fund.

We believe that flexibility in the workplace fosters a healthy work/life balance, enhances motivation, reduces stress, and improves overall performance and productivity. We support various working arrangements to accommodate different needs.
