Position Overview
Our mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles, including trailers and vans. A background as a HGV Mechanic, Trailer Fitter, or Van Technician is required. We provide a fulfilling career path in the transportation sector, complete with a competitive hourly wage, overtime opportunities, and additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform service, maintenance, and repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles and trailers.
- Conduct thorough inspections.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and presentation.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including job cards and service records using digital systems.
- Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in HGV Repair & Maintenance.
- A full, valid driving license.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Basic IT skills are advantageous.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience is essential.
Starting rates for qualified mechanics begin at £16.95 per hour.
