Key Responsibilities:

The Furnaceman plays a crucial role in the operation and upkeep of furnaces utilized in the production process. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and regulating furnace temperature and pressure.
  • Adjusting controls to maintain optimal heating conditions.
  • Loading and unloading materials efficiently.
  • Conducting routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Adhering strictly to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in operating industrial furnaces.

Familiarity with foundry environments and processes.

Proficient in melting operations using electric furnaces.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years in furnace operation is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of furnace operation principles, ability to interpret technical documentation, mechanical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety in the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

FLT Certification and OHC license are advantageous.

Working Conditions:

The Furnaceman will operate in a manufacturing setting, with exposure to elevated temperatures and high noise levels. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times.
