About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Advisor to join our dynamic team. As an HR Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive HR support to the Head of HR and the wider business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Recruitment & Onboarding: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies, manage DBS renewals, and handle the administration of flexible working requests and leaves of absence.
• Employee Relations & Legal Compliance: Provide expert support for employee relations casework, act as a note-taker during meetings, and ensure compliance with employment law by staying updated on legal changes and conducting annual audits of personnel files.
• Payroll & Compensation: Input monthly payroll changes, support payroll processing, manage compliance with National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage regulations, and assist with annual leave buyback and bonus processes.
• Training & Development: Oversee the Government Apprenticeship Service, deliver HR training sessions, and manage training feedback and recognition programs.
• Health & Wellbeing: Coordinate Occupational Health referrals, support workplace wellness initiatives, and manage the administration of employee exit processes and reporting.

Person Specification:

We are looking for a candidate with:

• A CIPD Level 5 qualification with up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
• Proven experience in payroll, HR administration, and employee relations
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• A high level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
• Access to own transport for travel to nursery settings
• A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check
