Job Title: Financial Operations Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at Legado Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our accounting team, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Transactions: Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and posted in accordance with our accounting policies and procedures.
  • Office and Nominal Accounts: Maintain accurate records of office and nominal accounts, including processing payments, reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
  • Supplier Invoices: Process and pay supplier invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accurate coding and approval.
  • Staff Expenses: Process and pay staff expenses claims, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Petty Cash: Manage petty cash payments, including processing and reconciling transactions.
  • Credit Card Expenditure: Analyze and process credit card expenditure, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Client Account:

  • CHAPS Payments: Process and release CHAPS payments, foreign payments, and BACS payments, ensuring accurate authentication and compliance with company procedures.
  • Client Cheques: Prepare and process client cheques, ensuring accurate authorization and compliance with company procedures.
  • Client Disbursements: Process and pay client disbursements and recoverable expenses, ensuring accurate coding and approval.
  • Client Ledger Management: Maintain accurate records of client ledgers, including processing and reconciling transactions.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working in an accounts department is desirable.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize work and cope well in periods of high volume.
  • Communication Skills: Confident and articulate communication skills are required.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Excel and Word is essential.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary (negotiable) commensurate with experience and ability, and a full-time office-based role working 9am to 5.15 Monday to Friday.
