Job Overview

We are seeking skilled Risk Managers to join our Project Controls Team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to high-profile infrastructure initiatives across various sectors, including energy, renewables, defence, rail, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of risks, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Ensure visibility of risk triggers to facilitate effective risk cost profiling and management.
  • Support the development of actionable management responses that are both measurable and specific, while assessing the effectiveness of these measures post-implementation.
  • Continuously monitor overall risk exposure against the available risk budget and project timelines.
  • Generate and deliver comprehensive risk reports to communicate the status of threats and opportunities effectively, ensuring timely senior management engagement.
  • Utilize quantitative risk assessment techniques to inform project contingency and time risk allowances, demonstrating proficiency with tools such as Safran, @risk, PRA, or similar.
  • Familiarity with web-based reporting and database tools, including ARM, Xactium, Predict, Tableau, and PowerBI.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following skills:

  • Experience in developing and implementing integrated risk management strategies across projects and programs.
  • Facilitation of risk and scenario analysis workshops.
  • Ability to develop proactive strategies for threat mitigation and opportunity maximization.
  • Competence in qualitative and quantitative risk assessment, including probabilistic modeling (experience with @risk, PRA, or equivalent is a plus). Comprehensive training will be provided.
  • A solid understanding of Project Controls methodologies and their interaction with risk management.

It is essential to have a background in risk management roles on significant projects or for major clients. Experience in the energy, renewables, defence, rail, and utilities sectors will be advantageous.

Preferred candidates will have or be working towards IRM/APM risk certification.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial, along with a commitment to innovating and improving work processes.
