Position: Maintenance Manager

Location: Chesterfield

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Salary: £55,000 +

As the Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and enhancing the maintenance operations at our site. Your responsibilities will include developing policies and procedures that promote best practices while providing mentorship and leadership to the maintenance team.

You will be tasked with delivering both reactive and proactive maintenance services across all operational machinery. This includes overseeing planned maintenance schedules and preparing the annual maintenance budget along with forecasts.

Additionally, experience in automotive or plastics sectors is essential.



Main Responsibilities:
  • Direct management, coaching, and training of the Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance team.
  • Oversee project management for all M.E projects to facilitate site development and launches.
  • Organize workloads for significant projects during production shutdowns.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective product launches.
  • Prepare RFQs, conduct contract reviews, and manage associated risks.
  • Support initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with external contractors as necessary.

Ensure that all work performed by staff or contractors meets satisfactory standards and address any deficiencies that arise.

Successfully manage the coordination of running changes and oversee plant interfaces to support program objectives, addressing common faults and implementing corrective actions based on their frequency and duration of impact.



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Candidates should be time-served multi-skilled Engineers, ideally with HND or degree-level qualifications.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems.
  • Experience in managing, training, and coaching team members.
