As a Generator Technician at NOV, you will be tasked with the maintenance and support of all products and clients associated with NOV's Portable Power division across Europe. Your expertise in the electrical or mechanical servicing of diesel-powered generators and related equipment will be essential for your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and refurbishments of equipment.
  • Perform P&ID inspections, electrical completion assessments, factory acceptance testing, function/loop evaluations, instrument checks, and site acceptance evaluations.
  • Manage rental and sales packages in compliance with NOV protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor, project teams, management, clients, and suppliers on operational tasks.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize work orders for operational functions.
  • Deliver after-sales support, including inspections, spare parts management, and technical guidance.
  • Participate in the on-call schedule to provide exceptional service support.
  • Work primarily from the workshop, with potential travel to offshore/onshore locations as needed.
Qualifications:

Essential:
  • Experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Electrical expertise in installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance settings, including offshore.
  • Ability to interpret and annotate engineering schematics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Desirable:
  • Familiarity with industry standards.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Certification.
  • City & Guilds HV Switching & System Control 0672.
  • COMPEX certification.
  • Experience with Deep Sea control systems.
  • PLC programming knowledge.
  • Understanding of Cummins, Iveco, and Perkins engines.
  • Experience with diesel and gas-powered generators.
