Job Title: Vehicle Test and Validation Engineer

REE Automotive is revolutionizing electric mobility and seeking a skilled Vehicle Test and Validation Engineer to join our team at the REE MIRA technical Centre in Coventry, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evaluation, validation, and calibration of test vehicles, ensuring compliance with established methods and standards.
  • Develop and implement written test procedures, interpreting system and vehicle requirements to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute test schedules, providing realistic estimates of task completion times.
  • Assist with the instrumentation, commissioning, and documentation of test vehicles, ensuring good practice in preparation and analysis of data.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports to document test results, meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Travel to proving grounds and worldwide territories as required by test plans, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in automotive or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in vehicle dynamics or performance testing, particularly in commercial vehicle development roles.
  • Knowledge of international test methods and OEM engineering specifications, with a strong understanding of vehicle instrumentation, data acquisition, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • A full valid UK driver's license is required, with the ability to travel as needed.
