Position Overview

A Field Service Operations Coordinator is needed to support a leading global engineering manufacturer. This role is primarily office-based and involves planning and scheduling the work of Field Service Engineers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage the assignments and schedules of Service Engineers to ensure the efficiency of the Service Department.
  • Communicate with customers via phone to arrange service appointments and plan engineer visits.
  • Assist in the preparation of quotes for compressor service repairs and maintenance agreements.
  • Utilize the company’s ERP system for inputting orders, ordering parts, and scheduling field service activities.
  • Oversee the tracking of spare parts orders, approve supplier invoices, and assist with inventory management as needed.
  • Coordinate on-call schedules and manage annual leave for the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with various engineering departments to ensure seamless operations.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in coordinating, scheduling, and providing service support within an engineering environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships with both existing and prospective customers.
  • Proven track record in roles such as Service Coordinator, Sales Coordinator, or similar positions.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Tavant, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A willingness to assist in inventory management tasks, including occasional forklift operation (training provided).

Compensation Package

Salary range: £26,000 - £30,000 based on experience, along with a pension plan, additional benefits, onsite parking, and 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
