We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Handy Person to join our team at The Sycamores, a leading provider of Extra Care Services in Leeds. As a Handy Person, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties and grounds, providing essential maintenance and repair services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out minor and emergency repairs, decorative touches, and cleaning in our properties and communal areas.
- Perform tasks such as hanging curtain poles, moving furniture, touching up paints, changing tap washers, unblocking sinks, mowing lawns, and clearing grounds or properties.
- Conduct regular Fire Safety checks and building compliance checks.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, commercial partners, and customers throughout the day.
- Liaise with our Customer Service Centre and external contractors to report repairs outside of your remit and chase up outstanding works.
We are looking for a team player with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm. You should be multi-skilled with general maintenance skills, know a bit about general repairs, carpentry, basic plumbing, and be able to wield a broom or paintbrush. Comfortable working and communicating with people from all walks of life is essential. Previous experience as a Handy Person is desirable but not essential.
