Job Summary:
Motus Group is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Automotive Sales Director to lead our Ipswich Van Sales team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of this branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Guide and inspire a team of van sales executives to meet and exceed their performance and KPI targets.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Support the team with coaching, mentoring, and regular performance reviews to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to succeed.
- Sales Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve the sales process to ensure it is aligned with customer needs and expectations.
- Compliance: Ensure all sales transactions are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Training and Development: Enhance the skills and product knowledge of the sales team through manufacturer training programs and on-site training.
Enquiry Management:
- Prospecting Activities: Drive outbound prospecting activities to generate sufficient enquiries to exceed agreed targets.
- Crm and Sales Systems: Optimize the use of all available CRM and sales systems to support best possible outcomes.
- Forecasting: Submit regular weekly forecasts for new and used vans – sales, profitability, and stock (turn and costs).
Stock Management:
- Stock Oversight: Oversee the management of all new and used van stock, ensuring well-balanced new and used vehicle display areas in line with manufacturer standards.
- Sold Unit Management: Ensure sold units are managed effectively to balance deliveries throughout each month.
- Demonstrator Management: Manage demonstrators to ensure all available units are presented to the highest standards, following all company policies when loaning demonstrators.
Site Presentation:
- Site Maintenance: Ensure the site and showroom are kept orderly and clean, reflective of the excellent experience provided to all customers.
- Health and Safety: The General Sales Manager is the key contact for any site Health and Safety requirements at this site.
Working Hours and Salary:
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Salary: £47,500.00 per annum plus a company bonus.
- Company Car: Provided.
Profile:
- Senior Management Experience: Proven senior management experience within the retail automotive industry, with van-specific experience preferred.
- Retail Standards: Comprehensive knowledge of retail standards, best practice, and compliance.
- System Confidence: Confidence in using Autotrader, CRM, and other systems to help consistently deliver effective results.
