Our clientele includes some of the largest real estate developers, owners, investors, and occupiers across various sectors of the commercial property industry. We provide a wide array of services, from developing ESG strategies to advising on the implementation of net zero carbon initiatives. Leveraging our expertise from the UK and Europe, we collaborate with clients to navigate a complex landscape of benchmarks, frameworks, reporting requirements, and regulations, ensuring best practices are followed to mitigate risks. We are uniquely equipped to support our clients at any stage of their ESG journey.
We are seeking an Environmental Sustainability Analyst for a 6-month internship to enhance our rapidly growing team. This role involves providing technical assistance in strategy formulation, data management, energy efficiency, and renewable energy initiatives. The intern will work collaboratively within a team to design and execute a diverse range of ESG services for our clients. Analysts will manage multiple projects concurrently and engage directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting a variety of environmental assessments utilizing established third-party methodologies such as BREEAM, LEED, Fitwel, and WELL;
- Performing site evaluations to assess building performance against sustainability benchmarks;
- Collaborating with clients to establish criteria for achieving desired environmental assessment ratings;
- Gathering, validating, and managing detailed building utility consumption data to assist clients in meeting reporting obligations and enhancing ESG performance;
- Contributing to the development of tailored ESG strategy services for clients using our proprietary methodologies;
- Preparing due diligence reports and energy audits that offer asset-level insights and recommendations for building optimization;
- Coordinating and participating in meetings with clients and internal teams, documenting minutes, and following up on action items;
- Supporting the Business Development team with proposals and tenders.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in sustainability, environmental science, environmental studies, geography, engineering, architecture, or related fields.
- A comprehensive understanding of sustainability challenges and climate change, with a commitment to staying informed on emerging trends, regulations, and commitments across the US, UK, EU, and Asia-Pacific.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and clients.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis.
- Ability to produce structured, concise reports that effectively communicate technical findings.
- Excellent research and problem-solving capabilities.
- Capacity to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive under pressure to meet client expectations and project deadlines.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
- A commitment to sustainability and the built environment.
- Proficiency in Polish.
- 1+ years of experience in consulting, environmental services, or commercial real estate, or a Master's degree in a sustainability-related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other management tools is advantageous.
- Experience with initiatives such as GRESB, BREEAM, LEED, CDP, GRI, SBTi, or other similar ESG frameworks and benchmarking systems.
- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
