Job Title: Data Installation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Installation Specialist to join our team at Dalkia Energy Services Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation and testing of structured network cabling, backbone fibre optic, and voice cabling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and test structured network cabling, backbone fibre optic, and voice cabling
  • Ensure adherence to set engineering standards and Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements
  • Co-ordinate visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with Fire & Security Systems aspects of installations
  • Assist within the wider Fire & Security Department as necessary
  • Proactively work towards the growth of the contract into other service provisions
Requirements:
  • 5 years experience with installation, termination, and testing of Structured Network Cabling from Cat5e to Cat7
  • 2 years experience in fibre cabling installation, fusion splicing, and testing
  • CW1308 multi-pair voice installation and testing
  • Health and Safety Training
Desirable Qualifications:
  • City & Guilds (Electrotechnical Level 3) or recognised equivalent
  • IPAF Certification
  • Planning, Organising & Executing – able to understand priorities, plan, and organise work and manage own time to deliver within expected timescales
  • Commercial Awareness – understands importance of managing costs and expense, applying necessary controls
  • Risk Management – aware of impact on risk to business and applies necessary controls
