Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading the technical team in delivering PPM and reactive maintenance services. The successful candidate will supervise technicians and clients, ensuring good working relationships are maintained and built upon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times, complete all mandatory online training and Evolve modules, ensure compliance documentation is completed and up to date, conduct emergency lighting tests and support associated repairs.
  • People: Ensure company policies and practices are followed and delivered consistently, recruit, support, coach, and motivate to ensure people performance is optimized, attend meetings with line manager and direct reports to ensure effective cascade of all City communications and ways of working.
  • Excellence: Prioritize maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times, complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales, respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk.
  • Service: Ensure all sites within the Area are covered on a 24/7 basis to deliver both reactive and planned maintenance, identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery, advise the on-site customer of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the site.
  • Integrity: Follow and support the purchase order process, ensure that all costs are agreed, validated, and approved as required, comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the City management team.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.
  • City and Guilds 17th Edition.
  • AM2/JIB Gold card.
  • Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment.
