Job Title: FTTx Site Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced FTTx Site Supervisor to join our team at Stott and May. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of FTTx projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the daily on-site supervision of installation/build progress, ensuring that all field activities are carried out in accordance with agreed designs, working practices, and health and safety requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and interpret build packs, ensuring that all documentation is in line with applicable requirements, and conduct construction walkthroughs with key stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that the latest version of build packs, method statements, procedures, and relevant requirements are being used, and facilitate this to build partners to monitor compliance throughout the lifecycle of the deployment.
  • Change Management: Validate any variation or change in the deployment that has an impact on cost or schedule, ensuring that it is supported by an approved change.
  • Progress Tracking: Ensure daily progress tracking with subcontractors, including updates on relevant tools, and approve/reject works completed by subcontractors on the relevant tools.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving License: Required for frequent travel to site.
  • Previous Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in supervisory roles on large UK FTTx projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of FTTx architecture and designs, as well as solid knowledge of SROF/HAUC regulations.
  • Qualifications: SA001 Safety Overhead, SA002 Safety Underground, S006 Duct Survey, S005 Pole Survey, and SSSTS/SMSTS (preferable).
