Focused Recruitment Limited is currently in search of a seasoned Continuous Improvement Manager to enhance operational efficiency within a manufacturing environment.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a solid history of recognizing improvement opportunities, crafting compelling business cases, and effectively implementing changes through robust project management methodologies.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Proven expertise in manufacturing excellence methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma and 5S.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret various data sources to uncover inefficiencies, identify cost-saving prospects, and recognize trends.
  • Basic financial acumen and familiarity with business drivers and budgeting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Continuous Improvement Manager, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Making strategic decisions regarding the acquisition or leasing of capital equipment as needed.
  • Applying Lean principles in daily operations, including PFEP, value stream mapping, and engineering assessments.
  • Driving enhancements in onsite processes to reduce costs, time, and waste.
  • Overseeing engineering projects, including budget management and equipment oversight.
  • Analyzing headcount data to assess its impact on operations and develop improvement strategies.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on system enhancements and space optimization for future growth.
  • Collaborating with operations, account management, and project management teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with customers, stakeholders, and operational staff.

Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess:

  • Extensive optimization experience in logistics, automotive, or manufacturing sectors.
  • A minimum of three years in a similar capacity.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
  • NEBOSH qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present data-driven conclusions and improvement proposals.
  • Advanced IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft applications, SAP, and project management tools.
  • Experience with supply chain software such as WMS, TMS, OMS, and SCM.

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: Competitive salary starting from £55,000 per annum
