Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider to fill a crucial Safeguarding Officer position.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely reporting and addressing of safeguarding concerns, providing exceptional support to students.
- Empower students to access relevant support services independently, building their confidence and knowledge.
- Understand the challenges faced by vulnerable students, such as care leavers or those with mental health issues, and provide crisis intervention when needed.
Requirements
- Handle and respond to emails and phone calls about student welfare and safety, adhering to established guidelines.
- Provide support to students with extra needs, such as young parents, young carers, ESOL students, and vulnerable adults, helping them stay in their course whenever possible.
- Offer immediate assistance to ensure young people and vulnerable adults are safe and protected.
- Address any safeguarding issues, ensuring compliance with current laws and legal responsibilities.
- Collaborate with teams to provide proper support and accommodations for students with high needs.
About the Role
This is an immediate start opportunity, and the successful candidate will be working closely with the Head of Safeguarding to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
