About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Novus Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of maintenance engineers and implementing a proactive maintenance strategy to ensure maximum machinery efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of maintenance engineers, providing direction, training, and development opportunities to ensure they perform at their best.
  • Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy, including preventative programs to maximize machinery efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • CMMS Integration: Track and manage maintenance activities, and ensure all planned maintenance is scheduled through our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Budget Management: Create and manage maintenance budgets, including costings, resource allocation, and procurement of spare parts.
  • Equipment Reliability: Work closely with production, planning, logistics, and hygiene teams to improve equipment reliability and performance, tracking Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and equipment availability.
  • Safety: Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all work is undertaken in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in maintenance management in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on team development and growth.
  • Proficiency in CMMS and a good understanding of planned and preventative maintenance.
  • A safety-first approach to all maintenance work undertaken on site.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
