Due to an internal advancement within the Maintenance Engineering division, a prominent multi-site FMCG organization is in search of a skilled and motivated Engineering Maintenance Supervisor. This company is recognized for its commitment to ongoing investment in engineering capabilities and the professional development of its workforce.
The role entails overseeing engineering support, ensuring adequate staffing, and maintaining all equipment and machinery in optimal working condition for production. You will be at the helm of a proactive and experienced engineering team, responsible for both scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks within a dynamic, highly automated manufacturing setting.
This position is ideal for a driven Maintenance Supervisor or Senior Engineer who possesses the capability to lead a team in the maintenance of high-speed, automated systems. With a well-established group of engineers, you will likely thrive on technical challenges and appreciate the autonomy in your daily responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directing a maintenance team in executing both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across various automated manufacturing systems.
- Organizing and planning engineering activities to be performed.
- Providing hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting support.
- Ensuring all engineering documentation is accurately completed and maintained.
Ensure that all engineers are thoroughly trained and knowledgeable about Health & Safety protocols.
- Contributing to initiatives for engineering improvements.
- Collaborating closely with and supporting the Maintenance Engineering Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience as a Senior Maintenance Engineer or Engineering Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Qualified to Level 3 or higher in an engineering discipline (Mechanical or Electrical).
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of maintenance engineers.
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
