About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Human Resources to join our team at the Medical Research Council – Mary Lyon Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and delivering a professional and proactive HR service to the management team and staff across our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, with experience in organizational development, talent acquisition, and employee relations. They will be able to provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff, and will be responsible for implementing HR policies and procedures to support the organization's goals and objectives.

The Deputy Head of Human Resources will work closely with the management team to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's overall business objectives. They will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR team, including recruitment, employee onboarding, and benefits administration.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to build strong relationships with staff at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's business objectives
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on HR-related matters
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR team, including recruitment, employee onboarding, and benefits administration
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support the organization's goals and objectives
  • Work closely with the management team to develop and implement organizational development initiatives
