About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Rail Infrastructure Operations Apprentice. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our rail services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of rail infrastructure operations, including capacity planning, control, electrical control, incident response, signalling, and stations.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the rail system and how different roles work together to ensure a safe service.
  • Participate in on-the-job learning, formal training, experiences, and placements in operational locations across our operations business.
  • Gain an appreciation of incident response and attend Signaller training as part of the scheme.
Requirements
  • English and Maths at grades 9-4.
  • Flexibility to travel to training and placement locations, including potential overnight stays.
  • Ability to work weekends, bank holidays, and shifts, with a degree of flexibility.
  • Willingness to embrace the responsibility that safety-critical work brings.
What You'll Get Out of It
