Job Overview

The Sterling Choice is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and inspect our facilities and operations to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement effective contractor management procedures to ensure all contractors on-site are aware of and adhere to our safety protocols.
  • Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, documenting and analyzing the findings to implement corrective actions.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with our Health and Safety Manager to maintain and improve our safety management system, ensuring we meet the requirements of ISO 45001.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer, Advisor, or Coordinator in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
