Health and Safety Manager

Job Summary:
4M Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the continued accreditation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and providing technical expertise and support across various operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and Inform: Provide guidance and information to senior management on changes in applicable health and safety legislation.
- Regulatory Representation: Represent the company in interactions with regulatory bodies and other authoritative organizations.
- Culture Development: Promote a safe working culture throughout the business by engendering expected behavioral standards.
- Technical Support: Offer health and safety technical expertise and support across fabrication, office, and construction site operations.
- Audit Preparation: Prepare for and facilitate external health and safety audits conducted by accreditation and certification bodies.
- HSMS Management: Ensure the health and safety management system is well-managed and maintained, meeting the requirements of the BS EN ISO 45001:2018 standard.
- Training and Development: Advise on training requirements to ensure regulatory and legislative compliance.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Engage with construction site operations subcontractors, sharing knowledge, lessons learned, and seeking continual improvement in the supply chain.
- Interdepartmental Liaison: Liaise with the Quality and Environmental Manager on aspects that could affect the Quality (BS EN ISO 9001:2015) and/or Environmental Management Systems (BS EN ISO 14001:2015).
