Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Environment, Health and Safety Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing directional support to the business in planning, measuring, reviewing, and auditing environment, health, and safety activities to meet legal requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:- To provide strategic guidance on environment, health, and safety matters to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- To develop and implement effective environment, health, and safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- To conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- To collaborate with the management team to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
- To develop and maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- To provide training and guidance to employees on environment, health, and safety procedures and best practices.
- To maintain accurate records and reports on environment, health, and safety performance and compliance.
- To stay up-to-date with new environment, health, and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Minimum NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent - CMIOSH preferred.
- Sound background in and experience of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, within food manufacturing production environment.
