Job Title: Driver Class 2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Driver Class 2 to join our team at Sierra. As a key member of our Transport division, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a first-class level of customer service to all internal and external customers at all times.
- Maintain professional relationships and support the Transport division in delivering products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Load vehicles when necessary and assist in unloading products at customer premises.
- Work as part of a team and be a last point of contact for customers, providing Our products 'On Time In Full' (OTIF).
- Ensure the security of the Company vehicle at all times.
- Operate within the law at all times and raise any vehicle maintenance concerns immediately with your line manager.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Company policy and procedures and report any accidents or near misses to your line manager immediately.
- Drive in accordance with the law and drive, in a safe and courteous manner at all times.
- Be prepared to drive long distances with regular overnight stays.
- Be prepared to drive a range of vehicles and be flexible within the parameters of your role, including training and development in accordance to the needs of the business.
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and changing environment.
- This role requires lifting and pushing weights over 25kg.
- A combination of analogue and digital tachographs are used and drivers must be fully acquainted with the relevant legislation as set out in Senior Traffic Commissioners Statutory Document No.6 Vocational Drivers Section 45 Conduct and Fitness.
- Have a good knowledge of the Road Transport Directive (RTD) for the purpose of working time.
- Be able to demonstrate compliance by evidence of a low infringement record.
Requirements:
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy in order to fulfil the role.
- C Driving licence HGV Class 2, DQC, Driver card.
- Geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
