English Teacher Opportunity

Ribbons & Reeves is working with an oversubscribed Secondary School in Barking and Dagenham to find a committed English Teacher to join their collaborative English department in September. The ideal candidate will have a proven background of teaching English up to KS4 (KS5 desirable), delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and assessing teaching sessions while maintaining an awareness of curriculum developments
  • Building relationships with all young people to encourage their interest and participation in their education
  • Creating an environment that is stimulating and purposeful for all pupils to promote teaching and learning outside the formal classroom settings
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree in English from a Top UK University
  • QTS gained through PGCE/Teach First/SCITT
  • Knowledge of current education issues in relation to terms of practice, process, and curriculum
