About the Role:

As a Bookkeeping Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring assignments are completed to set timescales and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping entries for client accounts
  • Prepare and submit VAT Returns for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Perform accounts reconciliations and month-end adjustments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and regular communication with clients
  • Continuously develop your technical knowledge and skillset

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and VAT
  • Prior experience in accountancy practice is advantageous, but not essential
  • Proficiency in Xero and related bookkeeping apps/systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping processes, including debits and credits, month-end adjustments, and accounts reconciliations
  • Knowledge of HMRC rules for VAT returns

What We Offer:

Salary dependent on experience, plus bonus, and benefits. This is a full-time role worked over 35 hours, but we welcome applications from part-time candidates as well. If you have a passion for bookkeeping and providing excellent client service, please submit your CV and covering letter.
