Purchasing Officer

The Junior Purchasing Officer plays a vital role in supporting the Operational and Strategic Purchasing functions by providing administrative assistance, data entry, and record keeping. This role also involves providing purchasing support to a reduced allocation of vessels.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage data entry, order management, and expedition of orders and RFQ's in Aurora and Agresso purchasing systems.
- Liaise with other business units, departments, and stakeholders on supply-related issues and updates.
- Provide day-to-day assistance to the Purchasing Group.
- Ensure the housekeeping of the Aurora purchasing system.
- Manage local stock.
- Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and associated administrative processes.
- Provide a constant source of quality goods and services to the fleet of managed vessels of various age and class trading on a global basis.
- Source, select, and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries, and services with suppliers.
- Provide regular feedback on Approved Vendor performance.
- Undertake other tasks as required.
- Implement and manage third-party logistics.
- Develop a strong understanding of how to manage ESG and the supply chain.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- National Qualifications or Equivalent.
- Previous Administrative Experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Confident with Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail.
