About the Role
The University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Information Analyst to join their Performance & Informatics department. As an Information Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing, facilitating, and completing regular and ad hoc reports to comply with mandatory external and internal submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and facilitate regular and ad hoc reports to comply with mandatory external and internal submissions.
- Support the completion of Freedom of Information requests when requested.
- Support the Trust's reporting routines in an accurate and timely manner, summarizing complex data and information to the wider members of P&I.
- Highlight discrepancies in data quality, completeness, and/or interpretation of management information as appropriate.
- Be proactive in the initiation of information analyses, providing analysis and advice on information for current/future programs of work and service delivery.
- Provide advice and specialist knowledge to define Trust-wide and external information requirements and establishing appropriate reporting methods.
- Utilize experience, knowledge, judgment, and skills to develop and improve information reporting systems in line with National data requirements and definitions.
- Utilize appropriate skills and software to advise on and enable simulation, predictive analysis, and scenario testing to inform decision-making by performance and operational leads.
- Liaise with members of the Department and the wider Organization as appropriate to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and milestones are developed to measure and monitor the progress of delivery.
- Propose improvements to streamline existing processes and systems to promote greater efficiency and effectiveness while ensuring processes are robust, efficient, and well-documented.
- Utilize appropriate benchmarking tools to identify and model areas of potential service improvement from analysis of peers.
- Participate in local and national audits by ensuring data is sourced and available as required.
- Take an active role in improving data quality, being proactive in the solution of any inconsistencies and incompleteness of data that may occur, identifying the causes, and design and implement any changes required.
- Work with the Information System Development team to ensure that data sources are current and fit for the needs of the Performance and Informatics department in terms of timeliness and accuracy and ensuring business continuity of reporting during system upgrades.
- Ensure that Information Governance and Data Protection are adhered to in relation to the provision of information.
- Participate in Performance and Informatics and Trust meetings where required.
- Provide cover across other P&I teams as/when required.
