We are excited to present an opportunity for a Head of Housing Services to join our dedicated team. This role offers a balanced work-life dynamic through our hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility in working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage housing services to ensure high-quality delivery and compliance with legislative and contractual standards.
  • Review, manage, and negotiate housing agreements to maximize value for the organization and its beneficiaries.
  • Identify and secure new properties to support the organization's strategic goals.
  • Oversee a customer-focused team, ensuring services meet expectations and provide value for money.
  • Deputize for the Group Director of Property Services when necessary.
  • Contribute to the Strategic Support Team, facilitating the operational plan's delivery.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with property partners.
  • Manage property agreements, including leases and management contracts.
  • Assess property costs for budgeting and rent-setting processes.
  • Monitor the performance of housing services against the operational plan.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree preferred.
  • Level 5 Chartered Institute of Housing qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a senior management role within a care or housing organization.
  • Strong knowledge of housing management and development, with practical application in an operational context.
  • Experience in property audits and inspections.
  • Understanding of housing management systems and enforcement processes.
  • Experience in rent-setting policies across multiple sites.
  • Familiarity with the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and autism regarding property design.
  • Proven track record in developing partnership agreements with property stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with local authorities and regulatory bodies in property development.
